In cerebral palsy there is something wrong with the control exerted by the brain over the child’s muscles. It is not a problem with the muscles itself.

The scientific name for CP is “static motor encephalopathy”, which means a non-progressive problem of muscle control due to a brain problem.

Early intervention with multiple services may significantly reduce later dysfunction.
